Sunday –

Rest day.

Monday –

I got up today with my legs still feeling sore. My intention was to do a run/walk for 30 minutes.

Well, I did take one walk break but ended up just running 3 miles instead. I put on a knee brace thing I have, just in case.

I gotta say, I’m feeling good.

Plus, I got to see the sunrise — great start to the week.

Tuesday –

Full-body workout at the gym.

Today was super hard, but I was proud to just show up and complete the workout.

Looking forward to rest day tomorrow; I’ve done a lot.

Feeling good but ready to rest.

Wednesday –

Went to run club and walked with the girls who walk — it’s always good. Cheered on the runners. Got some great information; maybe this hip problem doesn’t have to be so painful.

Thursday –

Did a 2.5-mile walk/run this morning. Also got on the vibration plate.

Friday –

Gym today — hamstring and glute day. I love this one; I’m just still being careful with the amount of weight I use

.I for sure don’t feel great at gym stuff. It’s like I’m all thumbs and never do anything right.

Saturday –

I had 6 miles to run today but was super tired, so I actually slept for like 12 hours. I did get up and run, just later in the day.

The sun was way up, and it was hot. I tried to maintain a 2-mile run with 2–3 minutes of walking. That worked for the first two miles, but it was so hot out that it turned into run half a mile, walk a quarter. I just kept pushing until I got there.

My hip is also giving me trouble again, so that didn’t help. This hip could be a problem — I gotta make that call with what I learned on Wednesday.

Thoughts –

I’m a bit frustrated with my hip.

Very tired of it flaring up.

I have a race to train for and run.

I don’t want this to stop me.

Sunday This started out like all the other runs — for the first 2–3 miles my calves were on fire, and my right ankle felt off. But from mile 4–10 I felt great. We took a different route today and hit
